05 Jun Let’s Talk “Inclusion” at the Kindergarten
Inclusion is a language we should all speak. “Different not Less”
The lessons were organized along with the teacher and they were made as games. There were several challenges that children had to face from describing an object without being able speak to touching and describing textures and objects they could not see. These challenges had the purpose of making them understand the everyday difficulties that children who are different are facing. We talked about what makes each and everyone of us special but also about how much alike we all are.
The conclusion of one of the lessons was expressed by one of the children and he could not have said it better. When asked “How should we act towards children special needs?” his answer was ” As older brothers and sisters.”
Here is a short communication guide with and about children with disability.
